Those time, when there were less publicity for Sabah in the media, outsider especially 'peninsular-ian', have this 'some' kind of perception for Sabah. I am aware that those mind sets were influenced by the image, awful image of Sabah displayed by the media. Remember during elections campaign, when government wanted to Sabah from PBS, they played this strategies of showing to the nation the non-developed part of Sabah - squatters, thick jungle, etc. And of course those who had never been to Sabah would thought Sabah is nothing more than the third world countries - underdeveloped.
And hence, this is what we Sabahan have to go through as a result of government brilliant strategies;
Scene 1
My friend and I was chatting about our experienced on driving when I say, I
always drive on the left lane when I'm goi. . .
My friend: Eh, Sabah got more than one lane meh?
Scene 2
My sister was staying at her adopted family in Johor. While preparing lunch, one of her adopted family asked her;
How do you cook back in Sabah? Do you have rice cooker?
Scene 3
One of my Sabahan senior in college once told me that she was once asked by a peninsular-ian;
Macam mana kamu pindah rumah ek? Kena pakai tali ke?
Scene 4
One of the peninsular-ian teacher in mom's school admitted that before coming to Sabah, she was told to bring rope along. And she did!!!
Okay, to show that we are not that bad, I post some pictures for your eyes and see what Sabah has to offer. Visit Sabah Year, hehe, suka-suka hati aku jak.

I once thought that Sarawakian have to use boat instead of car as their transport, blame it on the media and geography subject - sungai rejang, the longest river, buaya, etc.. so here I am apologizing to all Sarawakian..
& I also have this kind of perception on African, yang the entire country is starving to death, tapi yang herannya kenapa dorang masih lagi buli excel dalam football yang memerlukan healthy people kan?
